The route for the 2027 Tour de France has just been announced, starting in Edinburgh.

Stage 2, 3rd July 2027 runs from Keswick to Liverpool, passing through Carnforth, Lancaster, and Garstang before heading over the Trough of Bowland and Waddington Fell to Blackburn, Belmont, Parbold and finishing in Liverpool.

The route was announced on Radio Lancashire on Thursday 15th January, in their "Lancashire Sports" programme, and included an interview with our club secretary John Ramsden, discussing how our local clubs could benefit from the publicity the Tour would bring passing over some of our favourite climbs.
