Cyclists Touring Club

Social Events

Each Tuesday evening we have a short social ride of 15-20 miles, meeting at 6:30pm opposite The White Bear Pub, Gisburn Road, Barrowford and ending at The Cross Gaits Inn, Blacko. All are welcome on the ride or meet at the pub afterwards for about 8:00/8:30pm.

Throughout the year we organise other events such as Treasure Hunt, Quiz Nights, slide show and talk evenings on a cycling or walking theme, generally with a pie and peas supper or other refreshments, @ venues such as Colne Golf Club, The Anchor Inn, Salterforth & Salterforth Village Hall.

There is an annual lunch time christmas meal, which has been held at the Copy Nook hotel, Bolton-by-Bowland for a number of years. This usually takes place on the Sunday before christmas. Members can either meet at the venue, or join the morning cycle ride to the meal, for which a number of riders have previously decorated their bikes for the occassion.

Our AGM, Annual General Meeting, is held in November and for the last couple of year's has been held in one of the function rooms @ Christ Church, Carr Road, Nelson accompanied by tea & biscuits.

Please contact John Ramsden our Secretary to find out about our next event, or check our homepage for Forthcoming Events.
